Purchase Round Up & Review – July, August & September

Hello and welcome to my purchase round up and review for the months of July, August and September! I am sharing my purchases from the past few months and providing honest (and sometimes brutal) reviews on each item!

Also – I’m sorry I have been completely MIA for the past 2 months! We are still adjusting to our new normal and finally think we have the hang of things which means I should be posting more often!

Almost everything I purchased during the month of July was from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale so I am linking my sale post for reference in an effort not to be too redundant!

Style

  1. Nordstrom Nubra – I’ve been meaning to get a new one of these for years! I used one of my Nordstrom notes to purchase this and I’m planning on wearing it to a upcoming wedding. I’ll be honest though, I am a little hesitant this bra will NOT hold my girls up but I’m going to try and I’ll report back!
  2. Ugg Poncho – Sad to report this is sold out but I found similar styles here and here. This is so comfortable and basically feels like wearing a blanket! I’ll keep an eye out for it to come back in stock.
  3. Ugg Slip-On Sneakers – I purchased these in “charcoal leather,” and I love them! I wanted something that was casual, could be styled a lot of different ways and would hold up well.
  4. Steve Madden Loafer – I purchased these in “camel suede,” and couldn’t be happier with them! I needed something comfortable for meetings at work that were neutral yet professional.
  5. Kate Spade Sunglasses – I needed new sunglasses so bad and these are amazing! I love the color and how light weight they are. They don’t fall down on my face and I love the shape.
  6. Tula Facial Cleanser – I started using this cleanser in July and love it! The smell is not overpowering and it leaves my face feeling clean and light. **
  7. Tula Aqua Infusion Cream – This is said to be equivalent to “8 glasses of water for your face,” and although it is moisturizing I’m not sure I completely agree! I have really dry skin though and I would likely see more results if I was better at applying it every night! LOL. **
  8. Tula Hydrating Cream – I love this stuff! It is very moisturizing and I really like to put it on first thing in the morning before I do my make up. I find that it moisturizes my face just enough without feeling heavy and my make up applies more evenly. **

** I linked all of the Tula products through Nordstrom mainly because I like utilizing their 2 day free shipping but you can shop these items directly from the Tula website which is where I purchased these when they were all on sale!

Nordstrom Sale Recap

Like previously mentioned, I did a decent amount of shopping/damage in July during the Nordstrom anniversary sale. You can read the sale post here or continue reading the comments from the following items purchased in July below! This list below is slightly more updated in relation to my anniversary sale post as I made a few exchanges!

Barefoot Dreams Cardigan: Hands down the best cardigans I have ever owned. If you buy anything from the sale, it should be one of these! They are worth every penny of the price, are extremely  comfortable and the quality is amazing! I ordered the carbon and the silver/pearl heather color. I will try to only pick one color to keep, but this is totally an item I would allow myself to keep in both colors because I know how much I will wear them!

Halogen Seamless Day Bra: These are so comfortable and a wonderful everyday, around the house bra. I honestly despise underwire (especially after wearing nursing bras without it for so long) and only wear underwired bras to work to you know, keep myself, and my girls looking professional. When I am not at work, I am wearing a bra without underwire as much as I am able! This one is only 11.90 after the sale which you can’t beat! It also has a clip to make it into a racerback. I got it in nude and gray.

Zella High Waisted Leggings: Literally the best leggings I have ever had. I purchased a multi-colored black and white pair a few months ago when they were on major sale and had hoped to snag a black pair during the anniversary sale. They are high waisted, hold everything in, and are so slimming! They are so good I am contemplating ordering another pair.

Northface Vest: I have wanted a Northface puffer vest for years and finally snagged this one on sale!

Shoes

Tory Burch Sandal: I am so excited about these! I have been wanting a pair of high quality tan sandals for some time now. I finally pulled the trigger when I saw these. They have amazing reviews and Tory Burch items always hold up so well over time. Although this item is more of a splurge for me, I have no regrets!

Brice Notched Booties: I am so excited to try these! I ordered them in the cognac suede and hope I love them! Last year, I ordered a similar pair and returned them when the top portion of the boot wasn’t flexible and felt like it was suffocating my ankle. I am hoping these are more flexible in the ankle and that they are comfortable! I will report back once they come in.

Adidas Edge Running Shoe: Now let’s not pretend I actually use these for “running.” However, every year I pick up one pair of tennis shoes at the anniversary sale. I saw these in the store and the quality was amazing, but they didn’t have my size so I ordered them and will review the fit once they come in. I like the neutral grey color and the 63$ price tag even more. They could be worn with jeans and a classic tee or your favorite sweats.

Converse Sneakers: I LOVE my white slip on converse. They are easily my favorite go to sneaker and I wear them all the time. I loved these when I saw them and ordered them immediately. These are so pretty! It’s a light “twine,” color with rose gold detail.

Beauty/Skin Care

PMD Personal Microderm Pro Device: I’ve wanted a PMD device for months but could never justify the price, so I immediately purchased one when I saw it was included in the anniversary sale! Dry skin is my largest skin care problem and I have been battling it for years! Recently, I have tried some new products that have been exceptionally productive in preventing my dry skin but have heard this device is amazing for people like me. I am fortunate to not battle acne, or anything else really, but I’ve had moments where my face feels like sand paper, and my makeup won’t evenly apply because my skin is so dry! I used this for the first time the night I purchased it and swear I already notice a difference and will keep using it and likely write a blog review for anyone interested!

Home

Barefoot Dreams Throw: This blanket is like wearing a cloud. It’s the same material as the cardigans! I’ll admit it is kind of a splurge for a blanket but you would totally understand once you felt the material!

Thanks for reading! Let me know if you purchased anything you loved over the past few months that you loved in the comments below!
