April Purchase Round Up & Review – Beauty Edition

Hello!

Welcome to my beauty purchase round up and review for the month of April! I am sharing my purchases for the month and including honest (and sometimes brutal) reviews on each item. Let’s get started!

Make Up

  1. Dr. Brandt No More Baggage – This stuff is AMAZING! Probably my favorite beauty purchase in a long time. I tried it out after seeing other bloggers rave about it and they were NOT wrong. It reduces the appearance of dark circles, and makes your under eyes look more full and less puffy all around! You can put it on under your make up or over it. Warning: you will feel a slight tingle when applying, it means it is working! Still wanted to give you guys a heads up.
  2. Tarte Shape Tape – Wow, this stuff has amazing coverage! I will be honest, I am still getting use to it as I am not typically someone who uses full coverage items. It definitely brightens up my under eyes and a little bit of product goes a long way. I apply it with my beauty blender sponge. I ordered it online directly from Tarte Cosmetics when they had everything on sale and although I don’t regret saving money, I regret not getting color matched beforehand. I’m plan on using both tubes I purchased because the product is great and not exactly cheap at 27$ a tube but it is slightly too light for me.

    Skincare

  3. Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion – I use this with my Clarisonic cleansing system. I have not noticed a reduction in fine lines like the product claims, but I do notice softer skin immediately. The product DOES remove dead skin cells so your other products can soak in better.
  4. Dr. Brandt Magnetight Age Defier – This stuff is brilliant and not to mention, so cool! It’s a magnet mask aimed to reduce the signs of aging and I am obsessed with it. It comes with a small magnet to remove the product from your face once you have applied it and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. You just wrap tissue around the magnet to prevent the mask from sticking to the magnet. I could be crazy but I swear I can hear little magnet sounds (whatever that means lol) when I remove it – SO cool! My face feels incredibly soft for several days after I use this. Highly recommend!

    Hair

  5. Twirl Convertible Curling Iron – I ordered this when it was on sale and after seeing so many people talk about how much they loved it. I order the 1.25 inch interchangeable barrel but you can get the entire set that includes three different iron sizes. Confession: I am not impressed yet. I think I need to get the hang of it or watch some tutorials on how to use it best. Currently my curls are falling immediately with this iron when they usually last all day with my trusty conair curling iron. I will keep trying and report back!

Thats all for now! Did you guys catch my April Purchase Round Up & Review – Style?
